Shopedia AI Technologies AB
Shopedia specializes in AI systems and analysis of text and image content in order to make unstructured information into rich, structured and searchable big data.
This technology is applied to make online merchants and companies with mid- to large-volumes of products more effective. The core field is in automated systems for making unstructured product information into high-quality searchable and presentable product data for the consumers. This results in increasing product sales as well as saving money on manual product information managing.
The company was formed in 2012 by serial-entreperneur Mathias Axlén under the former name Shopit Online Europe AB. At the end of 2024 the name was changed to Shopedia AI Technologies AB to further emphasize the company's core field within AI and online shopping product data services, as well as differ it from our 'comparison shopping search engine' websites launched under the trademark Shopit.
With over 100 000 balanced tree-structure product categories (which also features synonyms and misspellings) it is the most extensive in the world.
With over 6 000 unique and normalized Attribute Types populated into our categories we have one of the largest structured attribute taxanomies in the world
In order to normalize and extract data from unstructured text we have built our own Text Parser and multilingual Word Database with over 750k unique synsets and 6M phrases.
Our aggregated product database contains over 100 million products with 700 million data-values, where about 6 million products has been manually trained for our categorization and attribute systems
